What: MTB Full Moon Ride RECAP
When: Sat Dec 13th
These rides just keep getting better and better and this last one was no exception. 19 riders showed up to brave the cool weather and slick trails of the Cohutta’s. 6 braved the longer option logging almost 23 miles while the rest of us opted for the shorter, quicker route back to the warm fire and HOT chili. It was a late night for many of us but well worth lack of sleep.....This ride was SO GOOD that we have decided to repeat it again for our next ride. Same options, same route, only this time we are hoping to be able to hang out longer. Stay tuned for more info.
Option 1: Will leave from Mulberry Gap bunk-house and ride over to Bear Creek and do the loop that we call “riding the P”. This will be a distance of about 16miles. It is an easy warm up ride on the FS roads to Bear Creek and then some great single track riding from there.
Option 2: Will begin with the first group and after riding Bear Creek we will turn up on the Pinhoti and ride sections 1 and 2 back over to the cabin. This will be a 23 mile ride and is one of the best around. Be prepared to be out for 3 hours give or take some time. We will have a get together after the ride back at the the bunk house with a fire so bring some chairs, food, and beverages of your choice to enjoy around the fire. Mulberry Gap will be serving Chili for $6 per person. Please RSVP for the RIDE AND CHILI with Shane at Bear Creek bikes.

Special Considerations:
1. Burn time on lights will be crucial especially on the longer ride...Conserve the lights when you wait, run on low when climbing, bring a back up.
2. It is normally 10-15 degrees cooler up on the mountain than here at the shop. Bring some extra layers just in case.
